Tulsa Neons

I have always loved our "old" neon sign at the bakery, we also have these great neon's in the original front door that we turn on at night. 

I just love the neon's around town!  A local magazine did a spread, not too long ago about the great neon's in town, unfortunately ours were left out!  But here are a few that I have always loved!









Sooooo many of these bring back such good memories of growing up in Tulsa........I guess I'm feeling alittle reminiscent...

Fall is officially here!

It's like this time of the year...temperatures in the mid 70's to 80's in the day,  in the 50's at night, is perfect!  I'm sure we would all have a few more pennies in our pockets if it stayed like this year round, no A/C or heat!  But, sadly it's only a brief period of time we get to enjoy!  I Love Love Love the colors and the cakes we get to decorate, burnt oranges, golden yellows, burgandys, so so so pretty!

The wedding cake combinations this time of year are also beautiful!

We are still working hard on our wedding planning, I can't believe how many unexpected things pop up!  Lot's of fun, though!

We're Back!

So sorry for the long break!  But we are back and.....planning the wedding of the Great Grand daughter of Ann!  What fun!  She's my only daughter...thank God, and I never "really" had a big wedding/reception, so, of course, I'm planning like its my own!

There are so many great ideas out there, for now we are going in the direction of Wild flowers, with Sunflowers, burlap and pearls.  How we are going to pull that together is going to be fun!  Even though we are in the "business", there is so much to learn about putting a wedding and reception together....I will try to post some pics and events along the way for the fun of it! 



Of course, I had to throw a cake in there.  This isn't the cake she's choosing....but it's so cute!

(3) You may begin submitting one (1) photo per couple - please only one (1) photo per couple - did I mention only one (1) photo per couple ;) as of Monday, February 14th.

*I will post pictures in the "Winter 2011 Wedding Cake Contest" Album, on the Ann's Bakery Fan Page, by

Feb. 2oth

(4) Beginning on Feb.21st-you may encourage, bribe, harass, insist, demand, request, beg, force, coerce, ask politely, your friends, family, workmates, neighbors, random strangers, people in line at the grocery store, to "like" the Ann's Bakery fan page (not group page) and then to "like" your photo in the Ann's Bakery "Winter 2011 Wedding Cake Contest" Photo Album.

*We will NOT count comments on the photos, or comments made in behalf of the couple, although, you are welcome to comment, we love to hear from everyone! We are only counting the "likes" per photo.

(5) The Winner will be the couple with the most "likes" on their photo, by Thursday, March 17th, 2011. Contest officially ends at Midnight, March 17th, 2011.

The prize package is "$400" towards a Wedding Cake and Grooms Cake
